I love still life and product shots… I also love family history.  Although my sister is the one to sit down and document stories from my grandparents I’m the one who looks at something old, used, and dirty and sees beauty in the history.

I love this car.  Not only did my mom and uncle play with it as children but their children got to enjoy scooting this little thing around at a young age.  My sister, two cousins, and I all know exactly where to find this gem.  It’s hidden away in an old laundry basket amongst all of the other old toys at my grandparents home.  I love that throughout my whole life this toy has had the exact same home, been stored in the exact same place, and has scooted across the carpet floor for miles (I imagine) in it’s little lifetime.

Sometimes I truly love that there are things that never change.  I love this car and what it represents;  My family.  My history.  A good, long life.
