Levi & Ruth celebrated their wedding day with an intimate backyard wedding with their closest family and friends.  With black and white and pops of yellow and green, the mood was light and enjoyable.  I loved that they held a morning wedding ceremony and picnicked together for lunch!  Mmmm, lunch.  (Did you know I was pregnant and expecting in the next nine weeks so food does sound good right now, especially the food that they had at their wedding… an egg dish, delicious salad, rolls, etc!)

I loved Ruth’s dress.  It was absolutely perfect for a late summer morning.  On her tables there were candies at each place setting and gorgeous flowers designed by one of my fav florists, Fleurie!  The flowers everywhere were darling and perfect; as always when Laurie, owner/gardner/artist, has her hands involved.

It was a sweet morning filled with joy and celebration.  Congratulations l&r!  Enjoy life together and may your love (and like) for one another grow deeper every day!

Details, details, details… And of course a little ceremony thrown into the mix.

I am so excited for this post.  I LOVED what Tricia did for her reception.  Who knows how many hours she spent rummaging through second hand stores to find the many different, lovely patterned plates for her guests to dine from.  Not only did she purchase each plate but she made every single napkin.  For the centerpieces she ran a piece of burlap down the length of the table and had bright yellow daisies in an assortment of creamy white vases as well as vases that she covered with burlap and lace.  It was absolute perfection.

Let me back up just a little… when you walked down the long driveway you could see the ceremony site on the left, the house straight ahead, and the reception site to your right.  In front of the house Tricia and her dad painted on old dresser drawers directions to every single place one could desire to go out in the country (ie, ceremony site, reception site, bathroom, etc). :)   It was absolutely charming and gave such a lovely, vintage touch to the wedding.

Ryan and Tricia made fans for the guests to use during the ceremony which had the events of the day mapped out as well as all of the information for the ceremony.  They were darling!

There were so many details that I can’t even cover all of them.  From the lights in the trees to the handmade fabric initials hanging on the tree over the head table, everything was beautiful and perfect.  It all came together seamlessly and the theme was apparent from beginning to end.

Love the burlap and lace with a splash of yellow.  Tricia, you are absolutely brilliant!

This past weekend my sister and I headed off to Monterey, CA where we met up with Trevor & Mallory down at Cannery Row. First off, there was a car show on Saturday and there were massive amounts of people. The cars were pretty awesome.

Right when Mallory & Trevor got there they informed us they had stopped and enjoyed a beer and fries (chili cheese fries??? I forget what kind of goodness they had before hand.). They were so relaxed and fun to shoot! Mallory worked the camera and together they were brilliant to photograph. Angie and I loved hanging out with them and touring Monterey.

As Trevor & Mallory told us, Monterey is where they got engaged and the feel and mood reflects them. It was an awesome day and I’m thrilled with how the pictures turned out! Congratulations guys, I can’t wait for your wedding in November!

Enjoy…
