Tim & Aykui | Destination Wedding | Monterey, CASeptember 1st, 2011Tim & Aykui met on eHarmony a few years back. Tim & Aykui met on eHarmony a few years back. Because I met my boyfriend via eHarmony, Aykui (pronounced Hi Queen without the ‘n’ at the end) and I immediately had things to talk about. She is level headed, cute as can be, sincere, smart, and has the biggest, most genuine smile I’ve ever seen. I truly have enjoyed building out friendship before her wedding.
I digress, this post is supposed to be about them two and I’ve turned it into a post about my friendship wit the bride! Oopsie. Back on track now…
This couple planned their Monterey wedding all the way in Texas. How they pulled something so beautiful off with such lovely details I’ll never know! I’m so glad I get to show off their wedding now.

I really loved the sign that Aykui had made. It’s beautiful and I’m sure is now a piece of art in their home!

Isn’t her dress lovely?! And her shoes were perfect. She did have two sets of shoes, one for the ceremony and one for the reception.

I really did love the rings. And doesn’t Aykui look phenomenal in her dress?!

Breathtaking church right? It’s elegant, warm, and has an old charm to it.

I loved their little wooden table markers that said Mr. and Mrs. on it. You’ll see them again with the gorgeous yellow flower centerpieces during the reception.

The flowers were beautiful! I really do love the yellow.

That mirror in the Bridal Room at the Perry House is one of the most lovely things I’ve seen. The whole suite up there is really remarkable.

Those bottle openers were awesome. If you can’t read it the tag says, “We Tied the Knot.”

Did you see the Mr. & Mrs. wooden table markers? So sweet!

The candy spread was so sweet, pun intended. It was bright, cheerful, and most importantly delicious.

I have to mention that the Perry House staff was one of the absolute best staffs I’ve had the opportunity to work with. It’s a gorgeous venue (newly renovated), delicious food, and filled with kind, easy going people. I highly recommend this place! Highly, HIGHLY recommend.

That cake was beautiful… and so tasty.

I love this series of first dance pictures. Tim & Aykui are so in love and perfect together. You can see it on their faces.

DNA Entertainment really rocked the house! The whole evening was a blast and everyone was on the dance floor gettin’ down. It was so much fun.
Tim & Aykui, you two are wonderful! Thank you for letting me photograph your wedding and for making all of the right choices for your wedding day to pull off such an amazing event! Many blessings to you both.
If you’d like to see more images from this wedding or order any prints you can do that at their online Wedding Gallery.

I must admit, I was pretty excited to start January off with a Wedding Blog featuring such a fun, unique wedding that I got to photograph! On January 3 Bow Ties & Bliss published Brynnen & Lian’s wedding and gave them a little love. It was just so fitting having this blog feature the Stutsman wedding because both bow ties and bliss were involved on that amazing day!

If you have a moment it would be amazing if you left a comment on the blog (mine included of course!)… I want to show my appreciation to these hard working ladies who bring beautiful weddings to the world via their lovely blogs.
