Steve & Erin’s Piccadilly Inn Wedding | Sneak Peek | Fresno, CA

October 11th, 2011

On Saturday Angie and I got to hangout with this rad couple. Erin was a knockout! She rocked that dress and her large jersey hair that was topped with the coolest feather clip I’ve ever seen. She reminded us of the Queen of Hearts… and really, she has the attitude of a queen so it […]

Kevin & Cayla | a bright, chic backyard wedding

August 4th, 2011

Kevin & Cayla tied the knot on one of the most beautiful days this valley has seen. It was absolutely perfect and everything was as the bride and groom dreamed it would be. They had the brightest colors, the largest, most genuine smiles, and everyone around was more than delighted to take part in such […]

Kevin & Cayla tied the knot on one of the most beautiful days this valley has seen. It was absolutely perfect and everything was as the bride and groom dreamed it would be. They had the brightest colors, the largest, most genuine smiles, and everyone around was more than delighted to take part in such a special day.

I have a few favorite things that I’ll point out throughout this post… my first favorite, this next image.  Look at Cayla’s face.  She’s glowing, serene, and so genuinely in love.  The light, the location, and the deep admiration for one another just made this moment all the more special.

During the ceremony I loved when the best man and maid of honor surrounded Kevin & Cayla and prayed for them.  There was such peace and joy in their faces and a calmness that came over them.

This wedding party was fan-tabulous!  There were a lot of them but they were great to hang around.  Everyone was easy going and willing to do whatever for Kevin & Cayla.  I love that!

The rings.  Such a strong symbol of a marriage.  I will never get tired of seeing couples wedding rings because there is so much meaning in them and it shows their tastes a little bit.  I mean, would you wear a ring that you thought was ugly?  I wouldn’t either. 🙂

The location was out of this world!  Check out that sky… I’m telling you, it was beautiful!  Kevin & Cayla got married at a friends home; ceremony in one yard, reception in the other.  It was beautiful.

Congratulations Kevin & Cayla!  I’m excited to meet all of your babies because I know that Cayla wouldn’t be the woman she’s meant to be if she didn’t have children. 🙂  So get to it!

April 7th, 2011

Kevin & Cayla get married next month! I know Cayla is counting down the days to become Mrs. Kevin Stimmel and I’m certain Kevin is doing the same but probably just not so loudly. 🙂 It was so awesome to photograph these two and use all of their lovely props! They like to picnic together, […]

Kevin & Cayla get married next month! I know Cayla is counting down the days to become Mrs. Kevin Stimmel and I’m certain Kevin is doing the same but probably just not so loudly. 🙂 It was so awesome to photograph these two and use all of their lovely props! They like to picnic together, she reads from childrens books, he reads from law books, and they will be surrounded in pinks and oranges for their wedding. I’ll be honest, I’m counting down the days to photograph their wedding too… 44 days!!!

Fun, easy going, always doting after the bride, they were perfect and so great to photograph. The guys were hilarious and made my job easy. One of my favorite images from the day (and I have a lot of favorites) is the last shot in this little blog post of them holding corn as a bouquet. Cheesy but great… (okay, it’s probably just how I write it that makes it sound so cheesy… whatever!)

Anyway, I love the colors, the feel, the style of this wedding! Can I get an amen? 🙂 Stay tuned, there is more to come. Until then, enjoy.

Ryan & Tricia’s Ranch Wedding | Part 1 | Madera, CA

October 8th, 2010

Once upon a time the socialite and the milkman fell in love.  Soon after they tied the knot.  Here is a glimpse into their very special day… Alright, let me be a little more wordy.  Ryan is the milkman (seriously, he works on a dairy with… get this… REAL cows!) and Tricia is the socialite […]

Once upon a time the socialite and the milkman fell in love.  Soon after they tied the knot.  Here is a glimpse into their very special day…

Alright, let me be a little more wordy.  Ryan is the milkman (seriously, he works on a dairy with… get this… REAL cows!) and Tricia is the socialite (truly, this girl is not shy in the very least!).  They might have one of the coolest stories around.  From one seeing the other on a social networking site, to finally meeting face to face (a few times without one really remembering any of the meetings) and finally, with God’s perfect timing, they met again at a Bible study and the rest is history.  Too vague?  Oh well, I’ll have to get permission from the bride and groom to be able to go in-depth… Wait, even better I’ll see if they’ll want to be guest bloggers and tell their own story!  How great would that be? 🙂

There is so much goodness in this wedding that I’ve decided to break it down into a few small posts… believe me, the wait is worth it!  For this first draft we have a few small details of their wedding day along with the bride and groom getting ready.  Mind you, in this series they had not laid eyes on one another.  That happened at the very emotional, fantastically perfect ceremony (stay tuned, the ceremony blog post shall come soon!).

Anyhow, here’s the beginning of the Iest wedding held in the far off country area of Madera, CA.
