I met her when she was six months old. She was this roly-poly girl who didn’t do much but eat. Hands down, she was one of my favorite roommates ever! I have so many memories from the past 3.5 years watching her grow up. One memory that brings tears to my eyes when I think about it was the day I was moving out of the main room and heading home. I was sitting on the floor sorting things to pack when Molly crawled on in to my room. She headed straight for me and didn’t stop until she crawled into my lap, happy as can be. I got so chocked up right when she entered the room because I knew that I would have to say good bye to her and her family in a few mere hours. I don’t think she realized I was crying… she was probably too young.

And still there are more memories.

I got to move back in with this lovely family and live in the garage. Molly was now about 16 months old. She was walking all monkey like and talking in her little talk. One night her mom wanted to show me this new trick that Molly can do. She took Molly’s pacifier out and asked, “Molly, do you need it?” Molly answers in short, abrupt, clear, almost whiny without the whine words, “Need it.” “Molly, do you want it?” “Want it.” And on it went. We just sat there and laughed… Molly finally got her pacifier back.

Anyhow, I love this girl so much and am thankful to be able to visit and watch her grow! I seriously can’t believe she’s four. How time flies. Happy Birthday Molly! I love you to the moon and back.

Oh baby! This little guy has an amazing story to tell about how good our God is. The week before he showed up his daddy was diagnosed with a blood clot in his brain. Immediately he was admitted to the hospital and the doctors did doctory things… as they always do. His mommy remained by his daddy’s side along with his two older brothers (well, as much as the doctors would allow). The day before his birth daddy was released from the hospital! Hours later he arrived healthy and absolutely perfect. Everyone is doing well. God carried them through this trial as He will through every trial we face.

Congratulations, my friends, on your lovely new addition… enjoy…

The series of the siblings… Here he is, the last of the three. But not in birth order, just in birth date order on a regular calendar year. Boys are so different than girls! Every time I shoot a boy something turns into a sword. This past weekend the groomsmen were sword fighting with stalks of corn, and sure enough, this young man found stick after glorious stick that he would pick up and threaten me and my camera with. Okay, not really threaten but I did get a stick pointed at me with a serious gleam in the eye where you can tell that Sawyer is planning his imaginary, playful attack. I love boys. They’re so funny.
