Michael and Mallory… they make me smile. I feel like I gushed about how lovely they are when I posted their sneak peek but I just can’t help gushing some more. Their laughs are genuine, their love for others can be felt oozing out of them, and their excitement for each other is so refreshing! I’m going to try not to focus so much on the couple because I think you would get tired of me telling you how wonderful they are (TRUST ME, they are pretty great). Instead I’ll share with you some of my favorite parts of their wedding day…
Their stationary was stunning… it set the mood for the whole wedding. Designed by Lazaro Press in Santa Barbara using a laser cut design, everything from the save the dates to the wedding invitations to the dinner menu displayed a dainty elegance that was classy and romantic.
Mallory glowed… not that she ever stops glowing, but this day, her wedding day, she was absolutely stunning. One of the most beautiful things that the wedding guests never got to see was her grandmothers garter that she wore around her thigh. It was beaded with dark, glimmery beads and was as heavy as a six month old. I have never seen anything like it. It was gorgeous.
Mallory’s bouquet was stunning. The soft, pale greens with the white roses made my heart pitter patter… What can I say, I’m a sucker for greens and whites! The bridesmaids flowers softened their gray dressed with a soft pink while the boutonnieres were the coolest things but I have no idea what flowers were used for them. Again, something I hadn’t seen before.
At the end of the aisle, after m&m said “I do” they toasted one another with a sip of Bollinger Champagne. The coolest part, thats their surname. Such a sweet little detail.
The Montecito Country Club was the backdrop for this lavish event. It turned out to be a perfect day and everyone was so easy going and had a great time hanging out, taking pictures, and dancing the night away with the new Mr. and Mrs.
La Fete Weddings put together the whole event making m&m’s dream a reality. Using mercury glass, gold, silver, and bronze tablescapes, and having the soft pinks, blush, and white flowers made the reception hall classy and elegant. I loved the textures of the plate chargers… those I could have walked home with and been perfectly happy.
Finally, they danced the night away with a live band playing, a lavish dessert bar, and walls that changed from pink to purple to red. It was a party like no other. Michael and Mallory never missed a beat! They were out on the dance floor enjoying every single moment of their magical day. Congratulations my friends! I am so thankful to know you two. May you have many babies and lots of basketball games in your future!
