Ryan & Deanna’s Purple Infused Destination Wedding | Lodi, CA

March 29th, 2011

It’s probably safe to say that Deanna has always loved Ryan. Like always, in God’s good timing, Ryan & Deanna fell in love and married in the winter of 2011 (February 11 to be exact). The wedding was purple and black with a lovely pop of white and in all the details Deanna and Ryan’s […]

It’s probably safe to say that Deanna has always loved Ryan. Like always, in God’s good timing, Ryan & Deanna fell in love and married in the winter of 2011 (February 11 to be exact). The wedding was purple and black with a lovely pop of white and in all the details Deanna and Ryan’s love was reflected. For instance, their favorite candy bars were the favors given to the guests… Ryan loves Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups and Deanna loves Dark Chocolate Milky Ways. It just made sense. πŸ™‚

The whole wedding was pulled off beautifully by Deanna’s dear friend Sarah Matchak (who also had a hand in the food, the cake, and almost ever other detail) along with the rest of their church family. A job well done Matchak Catering! The food was delicious.

Well, the last thing I really want to say is this… Ryan & Deanna’s love for one another is so ridiculously strong. Both of them lit up when the other was around. They found their missing halves and are so much stronger together than apart.

Oh, you know what else, Deanna’s shoes were LOVELY!

Ryan & Deanna, may you guys be blessed in all you do! I can’t wait to meet your children. πŸ™‚

Molly’s 4th Birthday | Santa Barbara, CA

March 25th, 2011

I met her when she was six months old. She was this roly-poly girl who didn’t do much but eat. Hands down, she was one of my favorite roommates ever! I have so many memories from the past 3.5 years watching her grow up. One memory that brings tears to my eyes when I think […]

I met her when she was six months old. She was this roly-poly girl who didn’t do much but eat. Hands down, she was one of my favorite roommates ever! I have so many memories from the past 3.5 years watching her grow up. One memory that brings tears to my eyes when I think about it was the day I was moving out of the main room and heading home. I was sitting on the floor sorting things to pack when Molly crawled on in to my room. She headed straight for me and didn’t stop until she crawled into my lap, happy as can be. I got so chocked up right when she entered the room because I knew that I would have to say good bye to her and her family in a few mere hours. I don’t think she realized I was crying… she was probably too young.

And still there are more memories.

I got to move back in with this lovely family and live in the garage. Molly was now about 16 months old. She was walking all monkey like and talking in her little talk. One night her mom wanted to show me this new trick that Molly can do. She took Molly’s pacifier out and asked, “Molly, do you need it?” Molly answers in short, abrupt, clear, almost whiny without the whine words, “Need it.” “Molly, do you want it?” “Want it.” And on it went. We just sat there and laughed… Molly finally got her pacifier back.

Anyhow, I love this girl so much and am thankful to be able to visit and watch her grow! I seriously can’t believe she’s four. How time flies. Happy Birthday Molly! I love you to the moon and back.

Evolution of an Image | Photoshop Tutorial | Rebuilding a Door

March 10th, 2011

First and foremost, I realize now that I misspelled graffiti in this tutorial so please forgive me for that. Second, there are MANY ways of going about rebuilding something in photoshop. I thought I’d share one way to go about it and I did try to explain it the best that I could for all […]

First and foremost, I realize now that I misspelled graffiti in this tutorial so please forgive me for that. Second, there are MANY ways of going about rebuilding something in photoshop. I thought I’d share one way to go about it and I did try to explain it the best that I could for all to understand. Either way, this may or may not be useful but I hope you enjoy it (and maybe learn one thing).

I’d love to hear about things that you guys want to learn that I might be able to teach you through this blog. Leave a comment and let me know if there is a trick or a tool you want to know more about and I’ll see if I can help!

Last Friday afternoon I met up with James & Nicole in downtown Reedley to start shooting their engagement pictures. I am so excited about their wedding this upcoming September at Hobbs Grove! I know that Nicole is going to pull over an amazing wedding because she is a fan of some of my favorite wedding blogs (ie Grey Likes Weddings). So, with her great sense of style and her knowledge of off the chain weddings it’s going to be fairly amazing! And I’m certain that this sweet little ampersand sign will make an appearance at their wedding. πŸ™‚Β  Anyhow, we shot in downtown Reedley then moved on over some orchards where the blossoms were completely in bloom!Β  After that we headed over to a basketball gym to finish up their shoot.Β  Apparently James loves basketball and it’s going to be a big part of their life together.

James & Nicole, you guys are fantastic and I couldn’t be happier about being your photographer!

Stacks of plates and things | Reedley, CA

March 3rd, 2011

I like lines and texture. I like baking and cooking (but I’m much better at baking then cooking… my family can attest to that). So, I guess it can go without saying that I like these three images. What types of things do you like?

Jake & Raquel | Sneak Peek | Fresno, CA

March 1st, 2011

Yesterday I spent some time with Jake & Raquel out in the Fresno countryside (which was much closer to Kingsburg then Fresno so why is it still considered Fresno? No clue!). Jake is a jack of all trades; he’s a farmer, a sprint car racer, and a graphic designer. Because of this, it only made […]

Because of this, it only made sense to shoot their engagement pictures in the almond orchards surrounded by the gorgeous white blooms. Raquel looked perfect in her sophisticated, stylish outfit and she just couldn’t stop smiling! Here’s only one image from the shoot, a little sneak peek… I’ll be working on the rest of the images today and plan to have another blog post up later this week (if not later today!).

Enjoy…
