Engagement Pictures | Fort Point | San Francisco, CAJanuary 22nd, 2010Last August my sister and I met up with Kim & Odessa to shoot their engagement pictures in San Francisco. I’ve been working on their engagement album/sign in book and came across these two pictures again. I absolutely love them. Last August my sister and I met up with Kim & Odessa to shoot their engagement pictures in San Francisco. I’ve been working on their engagement album/sign in book and came across these two pictures again. I absolutely love them. My second shooter (and sister), Angie captured these and I think they’re brilliant. They have a very old feeling to them. Just wanted to share. And I totally can’t wait for their wedding in August! I absolutely loved hanging out with them and am eager to see them again (they now live on the east coast so visiting is kinda tricky). Ahh well, I’m just counting down the days.

Friesen Family Portraits | Pismo Beach, CAJanuary 21st, 2010During Martin Luther King weekend I headed to Pismo with this family. I certainly came home with a heap of new, funny memories. Even though it rained for most of the weekend, it was relaxing and enjoyable. I’m very glad I went and I look forward to our next game night! |

In Pismo Beach, CA this past weekend I got to shoot my long time friends, Jeff & Kelley Klassen and their two sons. Growing up Jeff and my families would go camping for a week during the summer every year. I have such amazing memories from those trips and it was so fun to meet their two boys. It’s pretty strange to see their oldest boy because he reminds me so much of Jeff. And their youngest is almost an exact replica of his Grandfather. I’m so thankful I got to see them and witness the extreme love they have for one another.

Cows | Reedley, CAJanuary 12th, 2010I think these guys are kinda cute. Scared to death of me, but not my car. What?! I guess they’re used to large vehicles driving past but not things that walk on two legs. Either way, I wanted to share what I did today. And this is it… |

This morning I was browsing through some of my favorite blogs and I stumbled across this cute template by the Shutter Sisters for a CD jewel case sized calendar. That got my creativity moving. I went ahead and downloaded the templates, then I put in some of my pictures, and I changed the font. Next I printed off two sets of the calendar (one for me and one for my sis) and I think they’re super fantastic. So I wanted to share with you and give you an opportunity to purchase one of these sweet little calendars for yourself… if your heart desires it. Enjoy and may 2010 be an amazing year for you!

I’m pretty thrilled that this year you can actually find me in a few places. For a few months I can be found on Every Last Detail which a wonderful designer, Lauren, created. Also, I’m on another fun wedding blog by two great girls, Amy & Jocey, called Wedding Chicks. I love being apart of these two communities and I hope to dive in more and more each day. I certainly do get inspired with all that they post (especially when they feature other photographers and fun, creative weddings). I’m excited for this year and I hope I get to work with you in the near future! Until then, if you need something to fuel your fire, check out these two blogs and there are TONS more out there.

This toy train was my Uncles when he was a child. Since then it has remained at my Grandparents house in the laundry basket toy chest. I grew up playing with this train along with my cousins and my sister. Now, Logan, the great-grandchild pulls this thing out when he gets to Great Grandma and Grandpa’s house. I absolutely love this thing and wanted to capture the Fisher Price toy train before anything terrible happened to it.
These two images are available for purchase. The two 5×7 prints will be mounted in an 11×14 matte board.
