Weddings | 2009 Year in Review

December 31, 2009

Lots has happened this year!  I started off Interning for Richard Pierce Photography in New York City (the absolute best thing I’ve probably ever done in my life), graduated from Brooks Institute of Photography, traveled back and forth from California to Louisiana, I do post production for other wedding photographers, shoot for a company called EveryScape, and in between those little things I put some more effort into my business of portraits, weddings, and stock photography.  Plus I started shooting a portfolio of my friends work (which, truth be told, is probably my favorite thing (photography wise) that I’ve done this year for myself).

This year I have shot more portraits than I could have imagined!  I did a handful of weddings (which are featured here) and I loved being apart of each one of these couples lives.  I hope to shoot more weddings as business starts picking up.  We’ll see where the Lord leads!

The project I’ve been hired for, capturing images of the Milton/Blied family has continued.  So far I have four of the seven children.  Here are the three sisters along with the two eldest husbands.  I do believe the series will look very nice in their parents hallway. :)

These brothers were great… complete opposites of one another.  The older one kept throwing out ninja moves and had ridiculous amounts of energy!  While the younger one tended to put his arms down by his sides and he would look straight down anytime I pointed a camera at him.  It took awhile but he got a little more comfortable and got some fun shots.  But boy it was tricky getting the two of them together!
